Venue Bids
There are many different performance spaces available across the University for student theatre productions and performances. You can find a list of available spaces on the OUDS website.
Many venues have a regular application process. Below you’ll find all venue slots which are currently open for applications.
Oxford Playhouse and The North Wall open applications two terms in advance of a performance week, with an application window open in the first half of term.
The Burton Taylor, Pilch Studio and O’Reilly Theatre all open the term before a performance week, with applications opening around 4th and 5th week.
The Schwarzman Centre - Student Making Week
Bids for ‘Student Making Week’ at The Schwarzman Centre are now open for Hilary Term 2027.
There are no thematic or stylistic restrictions for this slot: pitch us work which you are passionate about and we should be excited about too!
Burton Taylor Studio
Applications for productions in Michaelmas 2026 have no closed - however, do still send an expression of interest to drama.officer@admin.ox.ac.uk as spaces do sometimes become available.
The North Wall ArtsLab
Applications for the Oxford University performance slot for the 2026/27 academic year have now closed.
Oxford Playhouse Theatre Slot
The largest space open to student productions, The Oxford Playhouse welcomes a student production every term to perform on its main stage. Applications for HT27 have now closed. Bids for TT27 will open at the start of the academic year.
