Venue Bids

There are many different performance spaces available across the University for student theatre productions and performances. You can find a list of available spaces on the OUDS website.

Many venues have a regular application process. Applications will open again in Hilary Term 2026 and will be posted on this page once open.

The Schwarzman Centre ‘Student Making Week’ MT26

Applications are now open for the very first performance slot in the theatre at The Schwarzman Centre.

  • The performance slot runs from Saturday 21 November to Friday 27 November 2026

  • The Cultural Programme at The Schwarzman Centre runs in thematic seasons. This performance slot will fall under the ‘Utopia Now’ season, which you should respond to in your pitch

  • Your pitch can be for a fully rehearsed and staged production but can also be for work in different stages of development, e.g. a script-in-hand performance, a rehearsed reading or for a performance of a work still in development.

  • We welcome all forms and styles of theatre making and performance.

The Oxford Greek Play

We are currently looking for directors/producers to put in a bid for the next Oxford Greek Play, a triennial tradition bringing Classical drama onstage! Do you have a vision for bringing out the crisis of Sophocles' Antigone, or the humor of Aristophanes' Birds?

Burton Taylor Studio HT26

Bids are now open for The Burton Taylor Studio, for productions taking place in Trinity Term 2026. The are a maximum fourteen available slots across the term, between Weeks 2 to 8.

Oxford Playhouse Student Slot MT26

The largest space open to student productions, The Oxford Playhouse welcomes a student production every term to perform on its main stage. Offering unparalleled technical capacity, alongside support from staff at The Oxford Playhouse itself, this is the stage on which to let your imagination go wild.
