Venue Bids
There are many different performance spaces available across the University for student theatre productions and performances. You can find a list of available spaces on the OUDS website.
Many venues have a regular application process. Below you’ll find opportunities to perform and develop your own work which are currently open.
Burton Taylor Studio HT26
Bids are now open for The Burton Taylor Studio, for productions taking place in Hilary Term 2026. The are a maximum fourteen available slots across the term, between Weeks 2 to 8.
The North Wall ArtsLab 2026
The jewel in the crown of Oxford University student theatre is back for another year! The beautiful North Wall theatre offers only one slot to student productions a year, plus unmissable mentoring support. Available only to performances of new-writing or devised theatre, this scheme allow a student company to a take a step forward to professional work.
There is only one slot every academic year so don’t miss it!
Keble O’Reilly Theatre HT26
The Martin Esslin Society have opened slot applications for The Keble O’Reilly Theatre in Hilary Term 2026. Weeks 3, 5, & 7 are available for student productions.
Deadline: 18/11/25 at midday Interviews: Week 7
Grove Theatre, Magdalen College
Bids are now open for the HT26 slot at The Grove Theatre, Magdalen College. A student production can take place in the theatre in Michaelmas and Hilary terms in Week 7.
Deadline Friday 28th November.
Oxford Playhouse Theatre Slot TT26
The largest space open to student productions, The Oxford Playhouse welcomes a student production every term to perform on its main stage. Offering unparalleled technical capacity, alongside support from staff at The Oxford Playhouse itself, this is the stage on which to let your imagination go wild.

Oxford Playhouse One-Night-Only
A new opportunity for a student group to stage a one-night-only on the Oxford Playhouse stage. You can pitch a proposal as one society or student group, or come together as multiple.
This will be the only slot of this kind in the academic year.
