Venue Bids
There are many different performance spaces available across the University for student theatre productions and performances. You can find a list of available spaces on the OUDS website.
Many venues have a regular application process. Below you’ll find all venue slots which are currently open for applications.
Oxford Playhouse and The North Wall open applications two terms in advance of a performance week, with an application window open in the first half of term.
The Burton Taylor, Pilch Studio and O’Reilly Theatre all open the term before a performance week, with applications opening around 4th and 5th week.
Burton Taylor Studio MT26
Bids are now open for The Burton Taylor Studio, for productions taking place in Michaelmas Term 2026. The are a maximum fourteen available slots across the term, between Weeks 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.
The North Wall ArtsLab 2027
The jewel in the crown of Oxford University student theatre is back for another year - now taking a new slot in Hilary Term!
The beautiful North Wall theatre offers only one slot to student productions a year, plus unmissable mentoring support. Available only to performances of new-writing or devised theatre, this scheme allow a student company to a take a step forward to professional work.
Oxford Playhouse Theatre Slot HT27
The largest space open to student productions, The Oxford Playhouse welcomes a student production every term to perform on its main stage. Offering unparalleled technical capacity, alongside support from staff at The Oxford Playhouse itself, this is the stage on which to let your imagination go wild.
