One Night Only - Oxford Playhouse
Oxford University student groups have the opportunity to stage a one-night performance on The Oxford Playhouse stage in Trinity Term. You can pitch a proposal as one society or student group, or come together as multiple.
The Oxford Playhouse offers one of the largest stages in Oxford within a 600-seat auditorium. You can find more information on the stage layout and technical specifications here: www.oxfordplayhouse.com/about-us/technical-specs.
The parameters of what this performance can entail are broad - it could be a night of stand-up or sketch comedy, a musical variety or an a capella showcase, among others - we’re open to your ideas of how the space could be used. However, it will need to suit a one-night performance and the limited technical rehearsal time in the space that this allows.
If you’re unsure that your proposed idea will be suitable, contact the University Drama Officer who will be able to advise. It will help to take a look at the upcoming performances on The Oxford Playhouse website and see what type of work is often programmed in the space.
The date for the slot on offer is a night in 6th or 7th week of TRINITY 2027 (dates tbc as dates are finalised in the coming weeks).
Hire fee and ticketing information is provided at the bottom of this application form
Please email the completed application form to Noah Wild, the University Drama Officer, at drama.officer@admin.ox.ac.uk and Katy Snelling, Director of Programming at Oxford Playhouse, at katy.snelling@oxfordplayhouse.com
