CASTING: Second lead role, 1 female approx. age 18-25

LOGLINE: Splinter is a story centring around the tensions in the relationship between Olivia and Lily, stemming from an unresolved disagreement over Olivia’s father’s job as a police officer, developing into a deeper rift and furious fighting about their principles.

About the character: Lily is a character who is at times quite reserved and hesitant, often unwilling to speak her mind openly to her partner Olivia (who is much more outspoken). At the start of their relationship Lily takes issue with Olivia’s father’s job as a police officer and questions Olivia’s defence of his occupation, stemming from her own relationship with her father. Her hesitancy to be open with her partner is an important factor in the unravelling of their relationship. However, she is also someone who is able to hold her own with Olivia portrayed through the expressive and tense arguments which take place - showing off both of these poles is crucial to her character.
