Branden Jacobs-Jenkins: In Conversation

Brasenose College is delighted to announce that Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, an award-winning American playwright whose works examine race, identity, and American history through innovative storytelling, is coming to Brasenose in 3rd week. His acclaimed plays include An Octoroon, Gloria, Everybody (Pulitzer Prize finalist), and Appropriate, which won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. A MacArthur Fellow and current faculty member at Yale University, Jacobs-Jenkins premiered his latest play, Purpose, on Broadway in 2025.

Tony-Award winning playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins in conversation with Professor Sos Eltis. A wide-ranging discussion of Branden's work, audience responses, the history of dramatic representation, and the differences between British and American theatre. Audience questions welcomed.
