From Oxford University Shakespeare Society
This Friday from 6-8pm at St Peter’s College, Miles + Davis Rooms, Oxford Shakespeare Society is going to be hosting a talk with actor, author (‘Shakespeare on Toast’, ‘Shakespeare’s Words’, ‘Everyday Shakespeare’), and producer, Ben Crystal.
In his talk, Ben will give us a fun and friendly introduction to Shakespeare, diving deeper into the many ways we can interpret the Bard on the page and stage, and offer us a glimpse into the world of Original Pronunciation, i.e. the way these plays would have sounded in their first performances. We will then have a Q&A plus the opportunity to ask Ben any Shakespearean questions you may have beyond the scope of the discussion.
For anybody interested in doing Shakespeare in any capacity — acting, directing, producing — this is an event you don’t want to miss!
