Tick, Tick... BOOM!

Tick Tick... BOOM! (Piezoelectric Productions)

Venue/Date of Show: Pilch HT26 Week 4

Content Warnings:

Deadline: Saturday 24th January

Piezoelectric Productions is excited to be expanding our crew for our debut show, Tick Tick… Boom! We are open to applications from anyone interested in working on the production, regardless of experience.

Tick Tick… Boom! is an autobiographical rock-style musical by Jonathan Larson, and tells the story of a composer and the sacrifices he made to achieve his big break in theatre. It is a small show, with only 3 cast members and a 4-piece band. Our vision for the show is rather stripped-back to match the vibe of the show, with the space arranged in thrust to create an intimate feel.

ROLES TO FILL:
- Stage Manager - role would be to coordinate backstage during the show in order to ensure that quick changes, prop movement and entrances occur smoothly. Low commitment until show week, then would be required for all/most shows.
- Set Assistant - role would be to help with procuring props/setpieces in the runup to the show and constructing the set during get-in (as well as maintaining the set during show week, since we have quite an interactive set for the show). Moderate commitment.
- Marketing Assistant - role would be to help with the marketing process, attending some rehearsals to film content and being delegated some tasks by the Marketing Manager. Moderate commitment.
- Lighting Assistant - looking for someone who is comfortable rigging/focusing lights during get-in in order to bring our LD’s vision to life. Low commitment until show week, then high commitment for get-in/tech.
- Costume Designer - due to the size of the cast this is a relatively low-commitment role, with the main focus being sourcing 1990s-accurate clothing. Our vision for the show is relatively minimalist and the costumes should reflect this.

No experience necessary for most roles - just enthusiasm for the show!
