Bob and Fran have worked hard to give their four children the opportunities they never had. Now, with the kids ready to build lives of their own, it's time for the parents to sit back and smell the roses. But the changing seasons reveals some devastating truths, and they are left wondering whether it's possible to have loved too much.

'Things I Know To Be True' is Andrew Bovell's complex and moving depiction of the intricacies of a family - and a marriage - through the eyes of four siblings trying to define themselves beyond their parents' expectations.

This is a play about human fallibility: generational differences, grief, and the ugly consequences of heightened emotion. But above all, it's a play about identity - about how growth necessitates change.
For Rosie, that means flying the nest and travelling to Europe; for Pip, that means divorcing her husband and pursuing a career in Canada. It means embracing innate identities, as Mia (Mark) comes out to her family as transgender and chooses to live openly as a woman. In the journey of self-discovery, we suffer along the way: Rosie leaves a part of herself behind in Berlin, Pip and Mia wrestle with their family's disapproval, and Ben succumbs to substance abuse and financial fraud. At the core of all this growth is loss: Fran and Bob lose their children, and their children lose Fran.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
• Fran
• Bob
• Pip
• Ben
• Rosie
• Mia (previously Mark)
