Description: No Peace on St Jude — a piece of new student writing — needs recasting for select roles to join our existing cast!

People have come from all over to start their lives again on the Isle of St Jude — a namesake that means hope.

When an American doctor comes to take a break from his stressful job to stay with a cousin, he insists he will only stay a while.
But the longer he remains, the more he finds himself drawn into the lives and stories of the locals — an ex-policeman, a drunkard, a mother and her son…

Have pasts really been left behind — or are the people of St Jude still running?


Roles to be Cast

Doctor — Male, middle-aged
Anxious and reserved at first, but gradually opens up, learning from Dennis how to embrace his freedom.

Dennis — Male, young adult
Away with the fairies — though as the play unfolds, moments of clarity emerge, revealing a more complex and manic inner life.

Tommy — Male, young adult
Similarly untethered and eccentric, with flashes of realism that cut through his dreamlike state.

Paul — Male, middle-aged
Cold, blunt, and determined — constantly pushing his agenda to force the Doctor to return home.
